About 50 minutes from Louisville
Head to the pumpkin patch to choose your own pumpkin at this family-owned Southern Indiana farm. Cornucopia Farm also offers a full lineup of fall activities, including corn and soybean mazes, a petting farm and other seasonal attractions. Stop by the Cornucopia Café for burgers, sweet treats and more while you’re there.

Evans Orchard offers seasonal U-pick apples and pumpkins along with plenty to make it a full fall day trip. Visit the farm market and cider mill, grab an apple cider donut or fried apple pie, and check out the play area and barnyard while you’re there.

Head to the fields to pick your own pumpkin at this longtime Shelby County farm. Fall also brings hayrides, a corn maze, petting zoo and plenty of family activities. Stop by the farm market while you’re there for seasonal produce and other locally grown favorites.

Take a wagon ride out to Happy Jack’s 20-acre pumpkin patch, where the farm grows more than 75 varieties of pumpkins, gourds and squash. During pumpkin season, families can also visit the farm animals, explore the two-acre corn maze and stop by the farm stand for seasonal produce and fall favorites. Admission to the farm is free.

You don’t have to travel far for a traditional orchard experience. Hidden Hollow is a small Louisville orchard offering a variety of apples, including heirloom and less-common varieties. It’s a great option for a quieter U-pick experience close to home.
