Louisville & Southern Indiana CSA Guide

Find Fresh, Local Food Straight From Area Farms

Eating local doesn't have to end when you leave the farmers market. Community Supported Agriculture — better known as CSA — connects you directly with local farms and makes it easier to enjoy fresh, seasonal food throughout the year.

CSA programs work a little differently from farm to farm. Some provide a traditional box of seasonal produce each week, while others allow you to customize your selections, add meat and eggs, or use credits to shop from what's available.

We've rounded up CSA programs serving Louisville and Southern Indiana, including options for produce, meat, eggs, flowers and more. Seasons, availability and pickup locations can change, so visit each farm's website for the most current information.

What is a CSA?

Think of a CSA as a subscription to a local farm. Members typically sign up for a season or set period and receive regular shares of whatever the farm is growing or producing. In return, farmers gain a more predictable source of support throughout the growing season.

Today's CSAs come in all shapes and sizes, from weekly vegetable boxes to customizable farm shares, meat subscriptions and even flower CSAs.
